Power Overload

Performant, semi-realistic electricity and power distribution overhaul. Power poles can explode if the total electrical consumption on the network is too high. Use transformers to separate networks so that subnetworks do not take more power than they can handle.

b Issue with the pole connection

I have a recurring issue with the mod: whenever I place a big electric pole, there is a chance that the small electric poles get destroyed. This happens because the game registers them as connecting to the big pole—even though they shouldn't connect automatically (and in reality, they don't, but the game thinks they do). It happens randomly; sometimes they connect and get destroyed, forcing me to reload the game and try placing the big pole again.

ty for the report

This is kinda an inherent limitation of the system. The networks connect for a single tick and that pollutes the max-consumption data, which causes the small poles to occasionally get blown.

I thought I’d worked around it with a ‘grace period’ system though, but perhaps there’s a bug in that.

It’s still happening to me; poles of different tiers are still connecting for just a single tick.
