Power Overload

Performant, semi-realistic power distribution overhaul. Power poles can explode if the total electrical consumption on the network is too high. Use transformers to separate networks so that subnetworks do not take more power than they can handle.

i [Declined] Parallel fuses

1 year, 10 months ago

hello! its me again, I have started to get far enough to make enough power to blow my first poles, is there any way that I can have multiple fuses in parallels, I want to use 3 small fuses in parallel, so that they can act as one fuse with 45 MW of maximum throughput, similar to real life, you can make fuses run in parallel, as long as the circuit is symmetric, it can run fuses together.

This sounds very tricky to implement reliably and would impact performance as well. I also don’t really see the point… the idea of fuses is that there’s one fuse per tier, where the fuses blow at a little under the maximum capacity for that tier. I don’t know when you’d want fuses for anything other than for a specific energy tier.
