MK3 and MK4 power armors (bigger grid, larger inventory), also adds various equipment (Night vision MK2, Energy shield MK3, Fusion battery, Singularity...)
Disabling Night Vision Mk2 and Portable Nuclear Reactor in the settings (and I would assume all the other options for disabling) do not disable them from being researched or crafted and used ingame.
I assume you are changing the option on an existing game? I just figured out how to do it properly and I'm rolling it in with the next update, I won't be able to actually upload for a day or two though, keep an eye out for the update.
