Mark ore with the Peppermint tool and construction bots will start mining it. Or enable Nougat Mining mode and it'll happen automatically!

I have a suggestion that peppermint mining should work with Personal Roboport so you don't need to place down a robo port to mine with bots.
Do not recommend. It's not very fast and it will drain your roboport battery super fast.
But then we could make mining trains
So it's impossible/too hard to implement? Energy problem sounds like "you just need to build more spiders"
