Any chance you could get the icons not to blink? That's the bit that really does it for me, the blinking on and off. If they were just solidly on all the time that's be so much less painful for my eyes. Having said that, the current functionality helps a whole lot, so thank you very much for this.

Unfortunately the engine doesn't allow changing that. There's a modding interface request thread in the forums to allow mods to alter the blinking interval, including turn it off entirely, but so far no response from the devs.

Ah, I kinda expected that. Shame, but fair enough.
