Read your note about quality in recyclers, perhaps a different solution could be to give recyclers a base penalty of -100% quality? to make sure no quality products are generated?
yeah i just noticed this, there's nothing stopping you just putting in quality modules before an item, since these types of machines set their recipe depending on the input
