I just installed this mod to accomplish Diurnal Dynamics. It looks very good, and I like that one can adjust the effects to their liking, even in multiplayer. I'm happy with the halo concept for the nightvision. Especially because it also deactivates the light in remote view, which despite practical, I found too unrealistic.

I saw in the item description and in the changelog that the equipment type is currently 'energy-shield-equipment'. Out of curiosity: The base nightvision has energy consumption and capacity, too. Does the overhaul not work out like this?

Thanks for your response, the thing with "nightvision-equipment" is that it needs to change the LUT, and i didnt want to change the LUT. At least I couldn't figure it out how to do that.... so using this type of equipment circumvents that requirement.

Ah that makes sense. Thanks for the explanation, I understand now.

Hurray awesome! Yes they're cool people.
However: I updated the mod and it looks like the equipment works just as the normal nightvision now: The entire view field is lit up brightly. I have Mk3 installed, which I configured to have quite low intensity and a blue tinge 🤔

Which dark-night do you use?

As a mod you mean? Diurnal Dynamics

As a setting of Diurnal Dynamics, Did you perhaps set maximum darkness to 100? if so, try 98 or something.

Ah okay. No, it's at 80 %

I cannot reproduce it, could you try with only this mod and see how it goes then?
Then add Diurnal Dynamics, and see how it goes then?
Perhaps some other mod is causing the conflict?

Okay good to know that it's different for you. I'll fiddle with my mods and see what's interfering later.

I've got it nailed down: Diurnal Dynamics has it's own nightvision activation threshold. I had set it to darkness 0.7, which somehow caused the overhauled nightvision to work as a normal one, too. Varying the values a bit, I noticed that the halo nightvision is active as well, but gets outshined by the regular style one.
Surprisingly, leaving the Diurnal Dynamics' value at default (0.5), it stops interfering. Just as setting it to 1, which disables ordinary nightvision.
