The extended magazine version of piercing ammo, slowdown ammo, etc., cannot be inserted into a recycler or modded version like in the Reverse Factory mod. So, it is very difficult to get quality ammo from your extended ammo recipe.
You are absolutely right, its fixed in Version 1.5.22
Recycling ammo gives 50% of the resources it took to build it.
