There's an unofficial patch for 0.18 here https://mods.factorio.com/mod/expanded-rocket-payloads/discussion/5e38d157c93cfd000b06bb8f, if you would do it soon.

For support this would only be the Advanced Probe, which would require 10K bottles instead? The other payloads doesn't seem to have anything to do with science, right?

It adds a couple more techs that use normal science. It adds Improved Advanced Space Program Theory, and everything after. Specifically, Space shuttles still use normal science.

Oh, there's also Orbital Ion Cannon... but it is only 2 techs, so I'm not sure the effort is worth it.
