solder plates are required by the recipies above but do not have a recipe to produce them from.
I use the settings in which most plates are only produceable by advanced smelting.

on a sidenote eg. precision control units are also useless in this configuration. Is this intended? (Expensive Recipies)

I think enabling the solder plate recipe in the casting machine would do the job. Can this be done somehow? i remember those being available in the past.
