Sick of having to put dozens of modules in your drills, assemblers, etc. by hand?
Configure ModuleInserter with a setup mapping machines to modules, mark the area and watch your construction bots do the hard work
Use the shortcuts in the bottom right or configurable hotkeys to open the configuration window (blue MI button, "CONTROL + I"), and to get the module inserter selection tool (green MI button, "SHIFT + ALT + E")
Set up a configuration using the gui, then apply it to machines using the selection tool. As an example, the configuration in the sample image will:
- Place legendary Speed 3 modules in beacons
- Place legendary Productivity 3 modules in labs and biolabs
- Place 2 or 3 efficiency module 1's in mining drills and pumpjacks (only the big mining drill will get 3, since it's the only one with 4 modules slots)
- Place Quality 3 modules in Cryogenic Plant
- Place a mix of Productivity 3/Speed 3 modules in chemical plants, or remove all modules from if the recipe doesn't support productivity
- All other machines will use the "Default Modules" at the top - this will fill them with Productivity 3 modules if possible, otherwise Quality 3 modules if possible, otherwise Speed 3 modules (and if that's also not possible, it won't change any current modules).
The selection tool also supports alternate selection modes:
- Alt-select (hold shift): Removes any requests on the selected machines, leaving them with their currently inserted modules (removes requests from ghosts as well)
- Reverse-select (right-click): Remove all modules and requests from selected machines, leaving them with no modules.
