b ore not spawning

22 days ago

Hi i loved the mobile factory when it was on the 1.0 and i saw that you updated this to 2.0. Thank you for the update. I wanted to let you know i can not seem to get any ore or fluid to spawn when i am using a lot of angel/bobs mods. It is very compatible and works great but, I can not get the ore to spawn in a new world or when i edit the scenario to get the world gen to change when i added it to my main save. I can get the ore to spawn if i place it down in world editer but I did not want to do that for the sake and fun of the game and the mods. The ore dose spawn in the base game with the normal ores. Thank you and sorry about the problem

Interesting, wonder what the conflict is... gonna test with Bob's Ores and Angel's Bioprocessing see what crops up

22 days ago

Hm, I've tried Bob's whole suite with Angel's Bioprocessing and ore spawns on my machine... Do you have RSO?

resource spawner overhaul. i do have that installed, the one by orzelek

i got something, "the resource Dimensional ore is not configured in RSO. It won't be spawned!"

22 days ago

It was the RSO. Thank you for the assistance, i think i am good here. i just disabled it

22 days ago

Mentioned the resources not spawned over in RSO's Discussion's tab as their description says to do in this situation. I could try to make it ignore Dimensional Ore and Dimensional Fluid but I don't know what exactly that would do.

Do you have some special rules for spawning of your ores?
If nto then I can try to add config myself or you could take a look at resourceconfigs folder in RSO - vanilla.lua has descriptions of how ore settings work (mostly).

name = "DimensionalOre", order = "b", base_density = 10, has_starting_area_placement = true, regular_rq_factor_multiplier = 1.10, starting_rq_factor_multiplier = 1.5

name = "DimensionalFluid", order = "c", base_density = 8.2, base_spots_per_km2 = 1.8, random_probability = 1/48, random_spot_size_minimum = 1, random_spot_size_maximum = 1, additional_richness = 220000, has_starting_area_placement = true, regular_rq_factor_multiplier = 1

As far as I know this is about it. No other scripts modifying ore placement or doing anything weird

I dont actually know how many of those variables are still relevant in 2.0, I just know Ore spawning functioned. I gotta go through the code one of these days to see what all is actually still implemented

18 days ago

Ah, after triple checking the code... I can confirm i'm a bit dumb lol. Autoplace Controls are created but they are never assigned to the planet, just an empty object is assigned to the planets Autoplace Control. I really do gotta read the docs some more.

I had configs from previous version of mobile factory so I re-enbled them and made them active with your version of factory.
