However, since I don't know how modding works I try my luck on both mod portals

Issue I have is that the mini train, while early accesable, can't be automised since the trail siganals and stations are ages away. The main reason why I installed the mini train mod is to have early train access. Since while the Spaghetorio has mods, it will take ages until you unlocked them, by then, you areleady have a madness of belts and more VS already starting a railway network.
