Biters infused with volatile coal dust. They move faster and explode on death, leaving behind a small fire that damages nearby players and structures.

Biters encrusted with layers of stone and mineral deposits, making them extremely durable but slow.

Iron Mine — Ferrite Biters
Biters with iron-laced exoskeletons. Their attacks hit harder and their armor deflects projectiles.

- Dark metallic blue-grey tint
Copper Mine — Voltaic Biters
Biters channeling copper-conducted electrical energy. Their attacks arc lightning to nearby targets and they periodically emit an EMP pulse.

- Orange-copper tint with electrical sparks
Uranium Mine — Radiant Biters
The most dangerous mutation. Biters saturated with radioactive material. They emit an aura that damages players over time and their corpses leave toxic ground.

Spider Boss — The Broodmother
A massive spider-like creature found in the deepest boss rooms. Uses the Factorio spidertron base as a visual template but re-skinned as an organic horror.
Description
The Broodmother is a colossal arachnid that has made its nest in the deepest chamber of the mine. Its bloated abdomen pulses with bioluminescent fluid, casting eerie shadows across the cavern walls. Thick, armored legs span the entire boss room, and its mandibles drip with corrosive acid.
Abilities
- Brood Spawn — Every 15-20 seconds, spawns a wave of 4-8 small "Spiderlings" (fast, low-HP biters) from its abdomen
- Web Spit — Ranged acid attack that slows the player's movement speed by 40% for 5 seconds
- Tremor Stomp — AoE ground slam that damages all entities within 8 tiles and briefly stuns turrets
- Enrage Phase — Below 30% HP, movement speed doubles, spawn rate triples, and attacks deal +50% damage
