LTN Analitic

LTN Analitic is a mod for advanced Factorio players who want to go beyond the standard gameplay experience and discover a completely new way to analyze their factory.

Logistic Train Network already provides an incredibly powerful logistics system. LTN Analitic takes the information generated by your logistics network and turns it into a structured stream of data that can be used for detailed analysis, statistics and external tools.

This mod is not just about displaying another statistic in the game.

It opens new possibilities for Factorio.

With LTN Analitic, your factory can become a source of real data that you can collect, store, analyze and visualize outside the game.

You can use the collected information to study:

• train activity and utilization;
• delivery and order lifecycles;
• stations and their activity;
• logistics network behaviour;
• historical events and changes;
• your factory's logistics performance over time.

This makes it possible to look at your factory not only as a game world, but also as a living logistics system that can be measured and analyzed.

For advanced players

LTN Analitic is primarily designed for advanced Factorio players, technical players and people who enjoy experimenting with large and complex logistics systems.

You do not need this mod to play Factorio.

You use it when you want to understand your factory on a deeper level.

Whether you are optimizing a large LTN network, comparing different factory designs, researching logistics behaviour or simply interested in the data generated by your factory, LTN Analitic provides the foundation for that work.

Data export

The mod collects LTN-related information and exports it in a structured JSONL format.

The generated data can include information about:

• trains;
• stations;
• deliveries;
• orders;
• actions and events;
• changes occurring during the operation of the logistics network.

The data is written to Factorio's script-output directory and can be processed by external software.

Full functionality requires Gateway

The Factorio mod itself is responsible for collecting and exporting the data.

To unlock the full functionality of LTN Analitic and send the collected information to a database, you must additionally install and run LTN Analytics Gateway.

Gateway is a separate application that:

1. reads the JSONL data generated by the mod;
2. processes and validates the data;
3. sends it to your database;
4. allows you to build your own analytics and visualization tools on top of it.

Additional requirements

Full data pipeline functionality requires:

• LTN Analitic Factorio mod;
• LTN Analytics Gateway;
• your own database, such as PostgreSQL.

The database is not included with the mod.

This architecture is intentional: the Factorio mod does not contain any database credentials or server configuration, and players can configure their own Gateway independently.

Privacy and configuration

No database credentials are stored inside the Factorio mod.

The mod is designed to remain identical for all players, while the Gateway and database connection are configured separately by each user.

Your data remains under your control.

What can you build with the data?

LTN Analitic is designed as a foundation for much more than the default functionality.

The exported data can be used to create:

• factory dashboards;
• logistics statistics;
• train utilization reports;
• station performance analysis;
• historical analytics;
• custom monitoring systems;
• visualization tools;
• research and automation software.

The project is intentionally designed so that the collected data can be used by your own tools and ideas.
