i Improved power options in early to mid game

Really like the mod pack but I found my base power struggling after oil being research but before getting to nuclear capabilities. Solar is good but it take a while to scale and then once you have fully scalable solar nuclear isn't really required asap.

Would Krastorio 2 include some additional power options? Several mods already exist for oil based, wind, burner or other alternative power solution. Maybe some of these ideas could be integrated to k2?

In K2 there will be a wind generator for the earliest stage of the game. The balance of existing items will also be reviewed. Maybe we will add something like a gas turbine power station, but I can’t promise. Unfortunately all this takes too much time...

That great to hear,wind turbine will be a good addition to the mod. I had in mind something similar to the way basic electric miner and steel electric miner worked. Where mk1 vs mk2 is a minor improvement which requires to tech up to steel gear, plate and all.

Maybe just adding a mk2 boiler and steam turbine which produce 20-40% more power would be good enough to offer more power option before going to nuke power. Oil based power would be nice yet I understand it would need lots of work to be done. Keep up the good work we are all very excited for k2.

Unfortunatelly Krastor have only two hand, so he can create too much sprites, we are overworked. Anyway, we are considering to add a LPG generator, for sure not a turbine mk2.
