After Updating my new Iron-Beam setup seems silly as the recipes now require the same amount of Iron and the only thing I get for my Coke is a bit of saved time.

When using Efficiency Modules that doesn't really matter and the less complicated recipe is actually cheaper.

I agree that 12:1 was a bit expensive, but a more complicated recipe should be cheaper.
I suggest changing the cost of the original Iron Beam to something like 1:5 or 1:6 and make a few of the low level recipes using Iron beams a bit cheaper to solve the issue.

Save time is only intended feature of that recipe
