g 1.1.14 crashes 2 seconds after savegameload

Hello,

since the last update, I can't load save games anymore.
Can anyone make sense of (this end) of log file:?

Is this a conflict with other mods?
They all worked on 1.1.13.

So the problem is the savegame, looking the log seems that some function related to inserters have fail,
I see that Factorio create a uncontrolled crash, how developer say "mods should NOT make Factorio crash", I think is better move this post on forum.
Meanwhile u could try to remove in the save game with the old mod version, all inserter that interact with matter fabricator (is the only entity that have a different behaviour in this update)

I'm sorry for not be more helpful, but in this crash there ins't any refer to mod code that make problems

thank you for your extensive feedback.

0.17.50 update did not fix the issue.

I did as you suggested and the game loaded in the combination 0.17.50 and Krastorio 1.1.14.

There are some strange behaviours of the matter factory though:

  1. After the re-load all speed modules from all factories were gone.
  2. I can't change the reciepie for any of the factories.
  3. You seem to have removed purewater to matter option, but in my save game it still works ... (not complaining here - hehe)

Is this a new feature, possibly?
The matter factories accept now every input, so they switch automatically?
(THAT would be very nice!)

The matter factories now work like furnaces. This was done to reduce the number of icons in the craft menu. About two slots: the game automatically puts two slots. One for liquid, the other for item. I'm not sure that this can be changed ...

I see.

The factories definitely still work on pure water.
As switching recipes is disabled the factory does it on its own - however often there is still old fuel left,
so the only way is to manually clear the internal storage of the factory.

So do matter factories ( copper ore to make matter lets day ) no longer require pure water as well?

Yes, purified water is no longer needed.

In next version the matter conversion will be rebalanced, don't worry

Remove inserter have work?
Sorry for the modules, we have change the module filter because leave productivity effect on matter conversion could create bugs

Anyway if u stop provide pure water on matter factory and u will provide items, that items will be converted
