HeroTurrets_Redux


Turrets are built using salvaged self-learning AI tech from your ship allowing them to get deadlier with practice. Extends turrets via ranking system based on kills. Turrets are generated and are not limited to vanilla turrets, identifiable by overlaid rank insignia. Rank buffs individual turrets.

b [Fixed] Yuoki turrets not getting a stacking damage bonus, and possible other interactions.

So, playing with yuoki and Hero Turrets for a while, it's come to my attention that the Yuoki Turrets lose their tech bonuses when ranking up via Hero Turrets, as well as not getting the same stacking damage bonus that other turrets get when being promoted.

For reference, the one I'm specifically referencing is the T-gun Bruteman and Maudlin from: https://mods.factorio.com/mod/Yuoki

Hey Auron!

If I had to guess it’s because those tech upgrades are looking for those specific turret types.

For instance the rank 2 turret is actually an entirely different entity with a different id tag. I’ll see if I can check for tech upgrades that are applicable, but if in the mod they are looking for exact names there won’t be much I can do.

That's the interestign thing, this is SPECIFICALLY for Yuoki's turrets. Bob's Mk2-5 turrets have proper damage scaling with ranks and retain their bonuses, so it doesn't seem to be quite as simple as the name. I'm not great at diagnosing unfamiliar code though, or I'd try to help more. Apologies.

And as said, other turrets seem to get a damage bonus for ranking up. Yuoki's bruteman and maudlin lack that feature (as in a rank 2 having 20% more damage, etc.) on top of their damage going from 25% x2.3 to flat (and weaker) 125% when becoming a 'ranked' turret.
