Helicopters are highly pollutional dued to fuel combustion.
But in a world where there are portable fusion reactors why don't create an helicopter that using 1 or more fusion reactor generate itself the energy for travelling?
There is a mod for electric vehicles, then why don't add an electric helicopter?
There are mods such as Battery Pack which add battery powered versions of many vehicles. Ask the dev to add support for helicopters maybe?

I use helicopter for farm wood, then stay too long in a place flying cause a lot of pollution where I wait bots collecting trees. A fusion engine dont change too much the idea of helicopter, but just reduce the pollution. If the mod allow the use of filters for reduce it, for me it's the same as purpose and result...
