I really love your mod. thank you for this, keep up the good work.

I was wondering if it would be possible to integrate a cargo heli, shouldn't be that hard, i guess? due they already can fly alone from port to port, can you integrate the option to let them fly, when the inventory is full or a time set has passed like the trains?
Also i'd love to see your cargo heli, think it will be great ;)

You can use the same mechanics that the cargo mod does for selecting a route and stations.

Hi, the problem is the 3D model. I have some experience with blender but doing such complicated things is outside my capabilities.
Some while ago a guy called zumf (https://www.zumf.co.uk) did a scout model for me. Really excellent work but after that he had no time left and quit the project. I also got distracted with other things so the model is still sitting on my disk. We had a scout (https://i.imgur.com/izNgxfF.png), attack (remodel of the current heli) and cargo variant planed.
Well if you or anyone knows someone willing to do the remaining two models, let me know.

Oh dude, the scout is looking really nice, very factorio stylish. I'd like to help, so I'm going to try to do some modeling - but I can't promise anything. I will do some stuff and send it to you ;)

Yup the goal was to have models that look 100% vanilla and I don't want to accept anything less. I'm curious what you'll come up with :)

I'm getting back into modelling on blender, might try and make a new heli model soon.

could you please send me the scout model? imo and technical understanding you would construct your two helis, stranded on a lonesome planet, with the same main functional parts (turbine, rotor blades, etc.) you can contact me via mail: lapo.lappen@gmail.com. i'm actually in a good state of progress i guess. i started out building a chinook type of helicopter and wanted to thin it out afterwards, but that didn't work out for me. so i just started all over again.

I too am very excited about the prospect of addition helicopters being added. I really like the idea of a chinook style cargo helicopter!

What would it cost to have you finish the cargo variant? Because we might pull something together. I'd kill to have a Chinook cargo helicopter I can fly or it can provide me requested resources.
