I have something I believe is worthy of being featured. Very aesthetically pleasing military base that I've spent over 100 hours building in freeplay. At the very least I would like to know how to add it to my own files to see the simulation.

Hello Percival! You're welcome to send me the save file (through some file sharing site) or a link to some pictures, and I'll have a look.

Creating your own little mod to add it to is quite easy. I wouldn't base it on Hall of Fame since mine is more complicated than you need yours to be. What you can do is to download one of these mods, see how they added a simulation, drop in yours.

https://mods.factorio.com/mod/main-menu-micro-factory
https://mods.factorio.com/mod/Teddys-Menu-Simulations
https://mods.factorio.com/mod/Extra_Menu_Simulations

Basically you'll need to add your save file to the mod, and then add an entry to the code. And then you'll basically have to specify at which coordinate the simulation should be and at what zoom. To get the coordinate use your F4/F5 buttons in-game.

I might add a section soon in my FAQ on how to reduce the file sizes, because if you add a normal save file to the mod then the mod size will be humongous. I usually trim away the part of the factory you don't see. But if this is for your personal use you don't really need to worry about that :)
