The Mod sounds nice and all but since i cant just place the thing on the geothermal vent it would be nice to have a little help how to use this.

Place a vent tap on top of one of the steaming holes, just as you do a pumpjack on a crude oil patch.

Are you using any other mods that deal with resources or mining?

the game says its modified by "Cursed Filter Mining" and "Factorio CompundMiners" it just keeps saying that it needs to be placed on a resource.

If you turn off the "specialized miners" option in Factorio CompoundMiners it won't run the code that makes bad assumptions.
