This mod was created with the following wishlist in mind:

Infrastructure

• provide the ability to expand into the sea by landfilling;
• coastal railway;
• endless body of water for Cargo Ships (https://mods.factorio.com/mod/cargo-ships);
• provide the ability to build beautiful linear defense lines.

Gameplay / combat

• increase the biter expansion pressure due to simplified pathfinding through the solid continent without bodies of water;
• left-to-right map orientation was chosen due to widescreen monitors nature and preference to combat part of the gameplay. That choice increases the tactical field of view when driving into the enemy territory;
• decrease the topological complexity of the game. For me, it is a more relaxing gameplay experience when the base on left and the harsh world on right :)
