Is a large footprint considered to be a perk? I intentionally added the ugly disc at the bottom to make it take up more space, thinking this would offset the long distance at least a little bit. More importantly, though - the Electric Transmission Tower's distribution range is smaller than its own footprint, meaning that it's only good moving power, but not powering buildings.
The way I figured this would be balanced would be by having an impractically large footprint, no distribution range and very high cost (though admittedly not as high as I'd originally intended - no Accumulators required). If that still seems overpowered, there are options to restrict the towers to land only and to require Fulgoran science. Past that, I guess it is overpowered. That was kind of my intent :)
