I liked the complexity of managing randomly produced ores by Versepelles Deep Quarry.
So here's a complete rewrite using recipe probability from 0.15.
Features:
- Automatically adds any ore not requiring fluids to a special recipes for selection in deep mines.
- Deep mines benefit from mining productivity research.
- Deep mines become available after researching advanced material processing 2.
- Performance cost is the same as any base assembling machine + beacon.
Basic deep mining produces roughly 1/4 the amount per ore of a mining drill before repeatable productivity.
Advanced Deep mining produces less additional ores and yields around 1/2 the ore compared to a mining drill.
Advanced recipes also allow mining ores requiring fluid input like Uranium.
