Blueprint Signals

Read a blueprint and generate a set of combinators containing the item signals and counts. This mod does not add any new entities like other solutions, so signals can be generated then shared with anyone or used in any save, even vanilla games.

Description

Blueprint Signals will read a blueprint and convert it to a set of constant combinators containing the signals and values of the blueprint items. The combinators can then be connected to a circuit or logistic network to request the blueprint items for construction.

No new entities are required for this mod, so generated signals can be shared with anyone or used in any saves, even vanilla.

This mod integrates with Blueprint Extensions if it is installed. It will also work fine as a stand-alone mod if you don't have or want Blueprint Extensions.

Instructions

While holding a valid blueprint (that is not empty), press CTRL+ALT+S to convert it.
A new blueprint containing one or more constant combinators will be generated, holding all the unique signals for the blueprint items and counts.

Blueprints must be in the player inventory. Due to a factorio modding limitation, the mod will not work if a blueprint is selected from the blueprint library. You can copy a blueprint from the library to the player inventory and then select the inventory copy.
