The wooden track looks great, but it can't be upgraded

Apparently, it was possible to fast-replace the rails, but the code has been commented out at some time. I guess that happened because there are two different types of rails in the game: straight and curved rails. So, you couldn't just upgrade "wooden rails" to "rails", but you'd have to set upgrades for both "curved wooden rails" to "curved rails" and "straight wooden rails" to "straight rails". This is inconvenient, but it's still better than nothing, so I'll revert that change for the next release.

So, this was the real problem! Also, I found another bug: If another rail is built on top of a powered rail, the hidden poles won't be removed …

Can you optimize the wood floor next time you update it? There are two main problems: 1. The texture of wood floor is fuzzy; 2. The bevel of wood floor is serrated. The wood floor is higher than other floors, so the serrated edges will show.

Sorry, but I can't. The graphics in the mod are all I have, if there were any files with higher resolutions, they've been made by somebody else and I don't have access to them. Also, I'm not really talented in regard to making graphics, and my GIMP skills are rather basic, so even tasks that seem to be simple will take me a lot of trial and error and consume more time than I can afford.

However, if you'd come up with some nice graphics, I'd be happy to include them!

Please try out version 0.18.32/1.1.2! It should be fixed now.

Strange! I'm pretty sure it worked last year, but it doesn't now. Not sure what's going on there, the vanilla rails have the same fast_replacement_group as the rails from BI.

It still works -- but not with Factorio 1.1!

It should work with 0.18.33/1.1.3. The wooden rail bridges can now be changed with the upgrade planner as well if Beautiful Bridge Railway is active.

Out of curiosity, do wooden rails and normal rails have any gameplay difference (train speed, etc.), or is it just looks and the ability to electrify the normal ones?

Wooden track is cheaper, angel mod rail production needs concrete, concrete is very expensive

Wooden tracks also come with wooden rail bridges, so you can build rail tracks across water. However, I think I'll need to change that, it's not logical the way it is: Bridges are available only with wooden rails, but in the world of Factorio, bridges must be an advanced technology (or why else aren't there any in vanilla?), so it's strange that they aren't useful any more in higher development stages (i.e., with power rails).

TODO: Make a version of the wooden rail bridge with powered rails. Make version of bridges from other mods (so far "Beautiful Bridge Railway") with powered rails.
