Better Bots Technologies


Adds more technologies for roboports and robots, including additional roboports charge pads and expanded bot power cells. Instead of giving them out for free like many other mods, this one strives to blend into the existing game balance.

b Multiplayer Desyncs?

After I installed this mod I started getting desyncs on my multiplayer server. It is a really big world ~120MB
Could it be this mod that causes it or somthing else?

Hi

As specified under Known Issues, I've not been able to test this mod in a multiplayer environment. My understanding is that a mod should work both in single player and multiplayer right away, as long as all che clients have the same version.

Most of the work the mod does is after one of the roboport related techs is researched, because it needs to cyle through each roboport on the map and switch them with another entity. Aside from that, the mod itself is almost inert, with the exception of the Charting Roboport tech which must call the charting function at least once every 5 seconds for each roboport. With an extremely large number of roboports, this may cause UPS issues (tens or hundreds of thousands of roboports on the map, depending on the machine the game is running on).

Unfortunately I can't say if anything of this may casue desyncs in multiplayer. It would be very helpful if you could check if turning the mod off solves your issues.

It may also be an incompatibility with other mods. A list of mods installed could be helpful too.

Some of the mods have been modified from its original form to better suit our needs, example:
Removed components from mods,
Modified ratios to be more balanced

New response
