g 'mech_armor_mk2' Error on game launch

a month ago

Hi,

I've been getting the following error whenever I boot the game since your last update:

"Failed to load mods: Better-Power-Armor-Grid/data-final-fixes.lua:16: attempt to index local 'mech_armor_mk2' (a nil value)
stack traceback:
Better-Power-Armor-Grid/data-final-fixes.lua:16: in main chunk"

I've already reset the mod settings to default, could you lend a hand please?

Thanks

Rolling back to v7.4.0 has resolved the issue

After some experimenting the issue seems to be caused by a character skin mod, I solved the issue by installing the miniMAXIme mod

I'm adding my own experience to this, yep for me the "character mod helper" instantly makes this one crash.

@DeLiWrAp:

Makes sense, as the default character will not be overwritten if a known character selector mod is detected. Which character mod do you use? I suppose that my "character mod helper" is loaded before this mod, and that your character has less armor animations than the default character.
In this case, adding an optional dependency on "Better-Power-Armor-Grid" to file info.json of the helper mod should work (BPAG will modify the default character before it is overwritten by CMH). Just replace the "dependencies" line with the following:

  "dependencies": ["Pi-C_lib", "(?) Better-Power-Armor-Grid"]

Strange, the default character should NOT be overwritten when miniMAXIme is active. What character mods do you use, exactly?

Thanks for the response :)

I've been using the Mechanicus(Reborn) mod https://mods.factorio.com/mod/MechanicusMiniMAX without MiniMAXIme up until I encountered this error, I'll try editing as you suggested as I'd like to remove MMm if i can, to try and keep my modlist as compact as possible :)

I've added the dependency to Character Mod Helper. Does version 2.0.7 fix this for both of you, @DeLiWrAp and @The_God_?

@Pi-C I've just checked it and the CMH update seems to have fixed it :D Tyvm
