This mod allows you to route belts and pipes automatically: 1. Put the starting belt and ending belt on ground first, 2. then select the starting belt with ctrl+right-click and 3. select a ending belt with ctrl+left-click. 4. Boom, belt ghosts are created!

First, thanks for creating this mod; it's excellent! It finds paths I never would have considered.

A thought; when routing contiguous multiple belts (e.g. 4 belts wide) but the destinations are not contiguous, could the pathing be such that the belts are routed together/contiguously until something forces the paths to diverge? (mainly I'm talking about when using no-undergrounds) The effect I'm looking for is to keep the e.g. 4-wide belts together until they must diverge near the destination. Currently they tend to split near the beginning locations... To get this effect, I'm now using a belt reverser mod, then BeltRouter, finally, restore belt direction.

Sounds like an interesting idea! There are 2 issues with integrating it into the game however: 1. From implementation point of view, it is hard to concretely describe "when to diverge". 2. The current path finder doesn't consider multiple belts as a whole but just route them separately. So I think it might at least will take a lot of efforts to realize such a function.

I do have another idea though: there is another guy in the discussion board mentioned add function of allowing manually setting intermediate points. This may benefit since you can set intermediate points before belts diverge, and it is also not hard to implement and easy to understand: under intermediate point mode, the belt you selected as ending point will be set as starting point immediately after previous path is found.

FYI, 1.3.0 now has a waypoint mode :D
