Bactophilia

Adds 6 new bacteria types; tungsten, holmium, lithium, sulfur, calcite, and uranium.
To obtain the new types, you'll have to modify the ones you already have.
For anything above simple iron and copper bacteria cultivation, I'll need to use the new Cultivator.

The Modification Process

In order to turn for example iron bacteria into tungsten bacteria you'll need to slowly modify it, first to barely-tungsten iron bacteria, then semi-tungsten iron bacteria, and then closely-tungsten iron bacteria, and lastly to pure tungsten bacteria.
Each attempt to move your strain of bacteria closer to another type will require one piece of the ore you want it to become, and is highly likely to fail.

Cryofreezing

All 'pure' bacteria can be frozen using a Cryogenic Plant when the cold resistant bacteria tech has been researched.
Frozen bacteria
Thawing the bacteria again afterward have a high chance of killing the bacteria, making it difficult to move them.

Bacteria in transition from one material to another can not be frozen, as they are already weakened by the hostile environment they are in, and would not survive.

Cryofreezing can be turned off in the mod settings.

Algae

Algae can be used to produce wood, and bioflux in a biochamber or cultivator. This can be used to for example grow bacteria in space, without requiring regular trips to Gleba, or any other planet for that matter.
Fun fact: In order to be completely self-sustaining in space without asteroid collectors, you'd just need this mod, one the makes coal from for example wood, and one that make water somehow.

Algae can be turned off in the mod settings.

Additional Info

There are settings for enabling bacteria cultivation and modification away Gleba (default: false), and multipliers for the spoil time of bacteria and the probability of a successful modification.
If you want this to be 'hard-mode', I'd recommend lowering both multipliers.

I wanted to have bacteria only on Gleba to begin with but then make techs for evolving cold resistant bacteria, radiation resistant bacteria, and more which would allow them to be cultivated in other planets and finally in space. But it doesn't look like you can change surface condition requirements at runtime, that part is not in at the moment :/
