I noticed it does deconstruct burner drills. It doesn't deconstruct the burner inserter feeding it. I always put them like

so all coal (only use burner drills on coal) passes the inserter which then feeds itself and the drill. AD only deconstructs the drill (natch). And... sigh I really don't know how to even handle this. Teach AD the blueprint I use? Or... make it deconstruct any adjacent inserter that is directed at the drill, and any belt that leads from the output? That might work... can you identify the orientation of the drill?
