Armoured Biters

Adds a new type of enemy to the game called "Snappers" with custom sprites and animations. They're heavily armoured but slower than regular biters. This mod is compatible with most other mods.

Too many non-aggressive bugs were spawned, especially in one area where there were thousands of them, but they didn't attack, causing the game to become very laggy.

I'm having this issue a lot too, having thousands upon thousands of snappers join attack groups, leave active chunks, and then end up in big balls a few chunks from my defenses, where I have to kill them with rockets and flamethrowers so they don't eat my entire wall. Please fix, CybranM.

Seconded, other bugs are supposed to die when not in a group and away from any spawner for too long.

After doing some digging, this appears to be due to the armoured biters not having ai_settings.allow_try_return_to_spawner set, unlike regular biters. This means once they are disturbed they remain active forever, even if they cannot path. This being unset also appears to prevent their despawn failsafe.
