g ups spikes

Heyo, I'm playing a heavily modded multi-planet run, that (among others) includes Arcanyx.
I travelled there yesterday as a forth planet after fleeing Gleba, and noticed, that sometimes (rarely) the maximum ticks under "time usage" go as high as over 20k ms. Just very shortly and with no recognizable pattern. Makes the game's ups drop from around 30 to around 5.
I also noticed that this happens, when the game's "Script update" entry spikes to over 20k as well.

Is there anything I can do to find out wether that's an actual bug, or just bad mod interaction?
(This is not crying for you to fix this; I have so many mods I actually doubt this is your fault xD
I'm just curious wether there would be a good tool/readable log to make finding the culprit easier)

Arcanyx is doing a few UPS-intensive things under the hood, though I tried to be somewhat efficient about it.

Here are some questions to try to figure out what is going on:

  • Have you intentionally lowered UPS to 30 or is your game already rather overburdened?
  • Have you generated a large number of chunks on the Arcanyx surface?
  • Are you using a lot of lightning rods on Arcanyx? (And if so, do the UPS spikes happen at night when the lightning is active?)
  • Does disabling the "spirits" mechanic (in the settings) cause the UPS spikes to go away?

The ups is set to 60 and has stagnated over the growing factory to around 30
I have not generated a lot of chunks (and am also quite stationary atm)
I'm actually not running any lightning rods (yet :D)

I'll have to wait with checking for spirits for my server admin to come back online. I quickly saved the world, and started it in singleplayer, where it immediately came back to 60/60 fps/ups xD

Maybe the modpack is just too much for the server to handle :think:

okay, update: it is very probably NOT Arcanyx
apparently I just checked during the most aggressive script updates; I had some drops to sub 10 ups with Arcanyx showing barely any time usage at all
