having a problem whrere it will not randomize any of the recipes just leaving everything with the default crafting recipie even though with it beign the only mod installed along with the default setting except a changed seed. it will randomize the properties, but not the actual recipies

Which version of the game and mod are you using? Just tested again on factorio v2.0.43 and mod v2.1.1 and that does work.
And make sure you do a test with fully default mod settings. There are some settings that can make it so recipes will not get randomized, like setting "Randomize recipes" to "Do not randomize recipes"

okay I just checked and i'm using v2.0.42 of factorio without spaceage, and where using the 2.1.1 version of the mod. and i was using the default setting none having the red revert on the side.

Just did another test with all DLCs disabled, still works here. Are you sure it's not randomizing? Check the recipe for electric engines, on default settings the lubricant required should be 14.

If it still just seems like it doesn't work, please provide screenshots of the following to maybe give more pointers to try and figure this out:
1) The Mods menu, with active mods etc
2) Mod settings with the settings for Keniras Random Recipes
3) Ingame screenshots while you hover over some items in the crafting GUI, like electric engines, so the tooltip with recipe info is visible

okay i think i just figured out what is the problem, it was me just not reading the discription correctly of the mod, i was expecting that everything would be randomized about the recipes even the actual ingredience needed for the product, not just the amounts, craft time and products. sorry to have wasted your time
