i SE-LR100-200-GR missing paintable side panel

Some version ago, I think before 2.0, the green SE-LR100-200-GR's white side panel was paintable. Will this be coming back?

I tagged this as a suggestion because I wonder if one day it would be possible to colour more locomotives, or parts of them, or at least the stone ore wagon, so it can be used for modded ores with the paintable wagons mod.

I noticed some of the rolling stock looks higher quality, and the old short fluid wagons are back. Did you manage to gain access to their original file/3D model (if they had one)? It's impressive nonetheless. Thank you for updating this mod!

Much appreciation,
Lithium

Heyo, the guy making the graphics updates here

Colorable locos prolly won't be a thing because it's lots of work and I can't be bothered lol

I already took it upon myself to take the old sprites which had integrated shadows, split those into base and shadow and then upscale and reassemble them. Because no, we do not have access the original files, this was work done upon the existing spritesheets ^^

I respect the effort, many thanks for your quality mods and the mods you up keep 🙏

On that point, have you seen when YR stock goes across a ramp? It remains perfectly level. As complaints go, a visual glitch is minor, and I'm not fussed about it regardless, but thought I'd ask.

Ye we're perfectly aware of that bug.
But on one hand it would cost even more storage space, on the other it would take me quite a bit of effort again to find a way to generate a vertical "going up the ramp" set of sprites. Having no models makes this quite complicated. The horizontal variant wouldn't be so hard, since you could just rotate the existing sprites, but again, storage space.

I've been pondering this. Would it be possible to make a roof-covered ramp as a separate mod so that these models and other modded trains aren't visually seen using the ramps? Perhaps with some open slots so you can see movement but not the angle.

Possibly, but I'm not too sure. You'd probably need to make an entity or lua rendering sprite with a render layer that gets drawn above the ramp and always place it when someone builds a ramp
