Hey there! I thought this would be how I get ahold of you since I couldn't find a discord.

My friend and I are using this mod. We were originally going to use it with LTN so we could see what trains are carrying what at a glance, but the auto train coloration mod we found did not seem to be multiplayer friendly when my friend tried to join with it.

We never took the mod out and just set it to rainbow, and today we realized it might actually be useful to have the trains project the trails in front of them so we know when one is coming. We have a large city block style base with about 60 LTN trains and we die at least once an hour to them coming through the many rails that keep our base going.

I figured this could be an easy add, from my very very basic understanding of coding and scripting, but if it's not don't bother with it! Thank you so much for your time!

It may be possible to have the trails project out in front of the train, however at the moment that is a bit out of scope for me. It would be challenging to implement, and there are already mods out there that help prevent getting steamrolled by a locomotive :P

You're not the first or last person to suggest this though, so maybe sometime in the future I'll add it as an option.

Also, I'm not sure which coloring mod you were using, but I made Train Trails specifically with https://mods.factorio.com/mod/Automatic_Train_Painter in mind, because I love seeing the trails reflect the color of the wagon contents. From my experience it is multiplayer friendly; I haven't experienced any issues with it :)
