It would likely be easier to just use one of the already created mods that simply turn biter kills into research. I think one of them was created with Warptorio or Warp Drive Machine in mind. Also since both this and the Warp Drive Machine mod "call" biters to a location there might be issues with that.
There is also a stand alone Mod that distributes ammo called Ammo Loader+. I don't know if it works with Warp drive machine or not though. The coding used to "Land/create" the ship might not trigger the Ammo Loader+ mod to record the turrets into the Ammo Loader+ system. It also works with loading fuel into buildings and vehicles as long as you don't disable it.
