Yes, can confirm, GUI disappeared with the latest patch.
I am unable to replicate this error.
Process: Open Factorio 2.0.60, start new game, press shortcut: GUI opens
Open Factorio 2.0.60, load existing save, press shortcut: GUI opens

I tested a new game and it works there, but my existing save does not show the GUI at all.
