Why is SA marked incompatible?

It is a declarative incompatibility. Meaning that the mod could work now with SA enabled however it was never intended to be used together with SA. This mod predates SA.

As you know SA already has a Tesla Turret which has very similar behaviour to the turrets presented in this mod. I am in the process of figuring out which direction I want to make this mod in relation with SA and its Tesla Turret. I know for a fact that for higher level technologies I will integrate the electromagnetic science packs. I did not decide yet if Fulgora specific electronics will be part of the tesla recipes or not or if they will be restricted to Fulgora or not.

In short there are some design decisions to be made, and implemented before I can say that this mod is ready for SA. When it will be, I release it as a separate mod. This mod will always stay declaratively incompatible with SA. - for people who want to play Factorio without the DLC for any reason.

Right in all likelihood the Remembrance overhaul pack will overwrite any recipe/technology decisions regardless when adding it as a dependency—prefer to avoid re-uploading to avoid the incompatibility flag, is there a timeline for the sequel?

I would still rather use this tesla tower then the one from SA !

@arighteousgod, I don't have a strict timeline. I can upload the same mod without any substantial change this time - besides working with SA - if you are interested in that. However it would be subject to some changes in the upcoming days or weeks.

That would be ideal—Remembrance adds a data-updates or final-fixes patch for it's dependencies, should be trivial to adapt to changes and if not making the dependency version specific precludes issues.

For the time being it is the exact same content as this mod (1.1.2), but it will change overtime.
