If you are going to make a new sprite or ask someone to do it (it seems snouz is the name of the hour), I suggest to reduce the size of the lower part (I think it is a inverted nuclear reactor?) or simple remove it?

The long legs + short legs + bigger size already make it distinct enough from other spidertrons.

Thank you for your feedback! The reactor will definitely not be removed, as it is one of the defining features of the Tarantulator—alongside its unique leg configuration. Unlike other Spidertrons, the Tarantulator relies entirely on its nuclear reactor for energy, powering both its movement and its equipment grid. This sets it apart from every other Spidertron in the game.

That said, the new textures are not final yet, so adjustments may still happen. While the reactor stays, its size or visual details could be refined as development continues.

I also vote for removal of this reactor - but I do understand author so maybe just slight reduction would be nice ;] I cant exactly explain why, but this misshapen spider that You have now looks for some reason disgusting to me. Like my brain expects a "spider" to look a certain way, and this reactor underbelly looks wrong to me. He looks sick or something maybe. Sorry just trying to explain a feeling i get when i look at it. I appreciate all Your work so maybe for look You can make some small switch to change to "standard" graphics? That way You can make him look however You like and I can switch it to standard if I prefer? (just proposing some compromises - if that option requires too much work - i apologize for suggesting it ;)

Hmm… technically, these Spidertrons are missing a vital part of every spider—a body! ;)

A mod option for a graphical change is definitely something new to me (I’ll have to look into it). Maybe you’ve just found the perfect solution here!

Yeah, I thought of the same thing some time ago... a setting to choose the sprite to be used

If I'm not wrong, the bigger size and increased leg size is dependent on a prototype property, so you wouldn't need a new sprite because it would use the spidertron default sprite with a larger scale property for the body and the four external legs.

You're partially correct—it isn't a deepcopy, meaning there's quite a bit of custom code involved. But in essence, you're right about the logic behind the legs and body properties.

I'll certainly take a look at it, but for now... bedtime! ;)

I completely forgot! There's a Mod Setting to reduce the size of the bottom part now. It's a bit rough, but I don't have time for it right now.
