I am constantly balancing different ammos to ensure they provide unique and interesting gameplay experience. However, it is likely some ammos are too cheap/expensive, or too powerful/useless. Let me know what's your thought in this thread.

Hello, Love the mod so far, Was just curious there is a damage research, any chance you could implement a range research like the long range Arty gets?

Hi, artillery turret is different from regular turret in factorio engine (e.g., they don't have priority turret setting like regular turret), and technology range modifier only exists for artillery turret but not regular turret. As the result, mod normally cannot extend range of regular turret via technology. Alternatively, you may use quality turret which can extend up to 50% of range. I may introduce a long range version of the mortar turret unlocked by later science packs if there is a request.

Hello, Im playing using Exotic Industries Remembrance and I find the mortar very useless, it might be because of the mod, I would balance it by increasing range by a lot and damage just a bit, sort of like a mini arty with less dmg and range.

Hi, the mortar turret is a very early weapon (unlocked by logistics science) and already outranged all vanilla turrets (even SA railgun only have 40 range). To avoid waste ammo and better support friendly turret, the range of mortar turret is designed to only slightly outrange normal turret. However, I do aware the demand of long large weapon in modded game and later game. I currently working on introduce a 3x3 heavy mortar turret, which unlock by military 4 (utility science) and has 90 range & +50% damage bonus. The work is still in progress and the value may get adjusted, but I think a stronger turret variant at later game should be a more proper way to do.
