Space Travel QoL is a quality-of-life mod for the Space Age expansion. Its goal is to reduce waiting time during space travel while fully preserving visual flow, game logic, and progression. The mod does not skip animations, remove phases, or bypass mechanics. All travel and launch sequences remain intact, they simply run faster and feel smoother.
The mod speeds up Space Age travel animations between planets and platforms, improves rocket launch and ignition pacing, and allows configurable interplanetary route lengths. Defaults are carefully chosen to stay close to vanilla intent while reducing downtime. All settings are configurable, but extreme values are intentionally discouraged.
The recommended default animation speed factor is 2x. This provides a noticeable improvement without making animations feel rushed or cut short. Route distances are shortened only where it improves flow, while preserving scale, progression, and the feeling of distance that defines Space Age.
This mod is intended for players who have already experienced Space Age with vanilla pacing. It is not recommended for first playthroughs and not intended for speedrun competitions or tournament environments. Changing settings may significantly alter pacing and progression.
The Space Edge represents the victory point of Space Age. Certain route limits are intentionally constrained to preserve endgame significance.
The mod is designed for Factorio 2.0 with Space Age and should be compatible with most mods. All changes are controlled via startup settings and are best adjusted before starting a new game.
The design goal is simple: reduce downtime, keep immersion, and respect vanilla design. This mod exists to make Space Age feel smoother, not smaller.
