Do they exist on the map for real, doing walking and work, as it is implied in the description text? Or are they supposed to be in buildings and so are abstracted? The screenshots don't show citizens at least.
At the moment the inhabitants just exist as statistical numbers in their houses. There are plans on maybe having them run around any be annoying, but nothing concrete or what will happen anytime soon.
