This mod was great at first, but I've run into a critical point where I must remove it.
After the map reaches a certain size, this mod is no longer viable because every time the game loads it needs to re-mark all the markers. While it's doing this the game slows down to unplayable levels and it takes way too long to finish. Reading the description it seems the map markers should be persistent and not regenerate every game, but they don't seem to be unless I disable the mod - then they still exist in the save.
So two issues:
- Consider addressing the incredible slowdown caused while map markers is doing its thing.
- Maybe we could sniff out a potential mod compatibility issue, this is my current modpack (version 21.08.16): https://mods.factorio.com/mod/Ubiquity_Unstable

Edit: Performance issues started happening around the time I started launching rockets with the Planet Imaging Satellite mod (https://mods.factorio.com/mod/planetImagingSatellite). After around 3 rocket launches the framerate had tanked to unplayable levels. Planet Imaging Satellite does not seem to create lag by itself, but only in conjunction with Resource Map Markers.
