Hi, sorry for my question; perhaps I misunderstood the usage. But if I have 5 technologies to research and 1 lab, you said the total research time is the same as 5 labs with 5 different queue searches? So, what's it for?

The main use case is to automatically switch research based on science pack availability. That's why I made this mod, because constantly switching active tech in the research queue the moment I would run out of one of other planet's packs got really old, especially when spoiling gleba packs got involved.
