You took (the idea?) of Wood to Coal and made it "Simple" by requiring making the wood into chests first? How is that "simple"? And, basically, why?

At first there was 2 wood to 1 coal conversion, but I was frustrated that wood gets stuck in the fuel slot. So for 2.0 version i decided to change it to wooden chest. Also in my mind "simple" is for it to not require research, "plug and play" kinda thing.
