In case it's a difference in versions, my Factorio says 2.0.73 (build 84377 expansion, win64) and SE is 0.7.42

What i tested: editor mod check if buildings produce pollution in space, they did, so i installed this mod, delete the whole surface, and copy pasted the pollution factorio that i saved beforehand. After waiting, sure enough, pollution.

Then i looked at a 0% treath planet, added the same type of making pollutions and sure enough, pollution again.

Then restarted from 0 via freeplay however i did use /cheat to get quickly on space platform and test and sure enough... there is still pollution going on

EDIT: Sorry, i did not realise how the mod works and assumed it does not work since pollution still is created and i can't delete this post as far as i can see
