I've recently come back to factorio and RSO as a whole and discovered there's no oil near my spawns in the slightest, they usually end up hundreds if not thousands of chunks away, is this intended or am i just repeatedly unlucky?
Please take a look at mod settings. There is one that decides if oil should be in starting area.
There can be a rare case with map where it can't spawn the starting oil properly but it should be very rare.
